Services are essential for housing stability
The Bassuk Center continues the pioneering work of Ellen L. Bassuk, MD who has documented the role of trauma and mental illness in homelessness. Her work has shown how services and supports are essential for long-term housing stability.
We support local communities and organizations as they provide stable housing, wellness, and opportunity for individuals, families, and youth. Our research-based training, tools, and technical assistance address mental health and substance use issues that undermine housing stability.
We see a day when everyone in America has a safe and decent place to live, the health and mental health care they need, and economic and social opportunities to allow them to thrive.
